Tracy, I know what you mean about being able to express emotions...my son lost his step mom the same day I found out I was actually cancer free and he's lost a dear uncle, his only grandpa and more but I can't get him to talk or cry or even yell about how he feels...It's the feeling that makes life worth living - for good or bad.
